Mnemonics in Mathematics!

Mnemonics are devices to help us remember (aide memoire or memory aide). They come in many varieties and flavours, and can aid memorisation of many types of information.

Now It would be frustrating if you understood the concepts well, but in the exam, forgot your maths formula!

Well, Mnemonics have a well use for mathematics, where we need to remember various formulas and values.

Mnemonics are many a times funny or crazy lines why you wouldn’t forget quite easy.

 

Some Mnemonics:

The most common type of mnemonic is the word-length mnemonic in which the number of letters in each word corresponds to a digit.

Value Of Pi (π) 
Count the number of letters in each word:

Pi (π) to 7 decimal places: (Word lengths are digits)
May I have a large container of coffee?
3.1415926

Pi (π) to 10 decimal places: (Word lengths are digits) 
May I have a large container of coffee ready for today?
3.1415926535

Area Of A Circle 

Apple pie are square: A = π × r2 

Simple Interest Formula

Interest = principle × rate × time 
• I = prt
read as “I am pretty ”

A sentence to help you spell isosceles
I sat on sunny cliff eating lovely egg sandwiches.
